diddi was founded originally in London by Abi Bowman in 2005, now it is Hampshire based. Diddi was set up initially, as an outlet for the 'cozypocket'. Abi is mother of Daisy and Sam with a background in graphic design & project management. She has worked in the media industry for the past 11 years.
The cozypocket idea came from the direct experience of pushing her young child in a pushchair on cold, wet and windy days. Finding that gloves were way too much hassle as they had to be removed in order to be able to do any task, big or small, Abi ditched her gloves and suffered having chapped, cold, painful hands in bad weather. After a winter of whingeing, the cozypocket was born.
Diddi has been set up with the ethical & environmental values that Abi considers important in her everyday life. The cozypocket has been developed and manufactured in the UK, with materials sourced in the UK. It has been designed to have very little throw away packaging & the labels are printed on recycled card and can be recycled. Diddi is also run with an ethical bank account.
All postal packaging is also recycled and recyclable. This does mean slightly higher postage costs but at diddi, we feel this is a price worth paying.
